Have you heard about FastTrac® yet? If not, it’s time you did! FastTrac® offers entrepreneurial education programs in almost every state and is supported by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and (locally) by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s ThinkTEC. The 10-week long classes are taught by experienced business people and give entrepreneurs a lot of the knowledge they need in order to start or grow their own business. Available programs include NewVenture, designed to help people who have never started a small business before write their first business plan, and GrowthVenture, meant to help people who are already in business improve their current business practices. Although the classes aren’t free, thanks to grants and financial support in our area, local FastTrac® courses are currently taught at a greatly reduced cost, which essentially covers the price of materials.
Upcoming classes include:
- FastTrac® NewVenture – begins June 20th. The class meets for 10 weeks on Wednesdays from 6-9 P.M. at the Beatty Center, College of Charleston.
- FastTrac® GrowthVenture – begins July 12th. The class meets for 10 weeks on Thursdays from 6-9 P.M. at the Beatty Center, College of Charleston.
