Know someone between 16 and 21 who needs something to do this summer? Here’s one option! Charleston County is again offering the “Change a Life, Hire a Kid” summer internship program. The program offers young adults a 6-week, part-time PAID internship position at various County departments.
Why consider it? The CALHAC program gives young people a chance to test out career options, get work experience, and learn some important workplace skills. Also, it looks great on a college application!
Program applications are accepted starting today, April 21st. You can download a copy of the app here. For more information, you can check out the County’s press release about the program, or contact Andrea Umbreit. The program is limited to 50 participants, so pass this on to your favorite young adult fast!
