I’m gearing up to start my own small business. I’m wondering what sort of information may be available at these sorts of events. I’m really interested in learning about PCI compliance. Any suggestions?
This event is more of an introduction to starting a business & covers topics like legal structures for a business and options for financing a startup, so it doesn’t go into depth about any particular topic like compliance issues.
I don’t know much about PCI compliance apart from what can be gleaned from the Wikipedia article. I’d suggest talking with a SCORE counselor to determine what your company needs to do to be in compliance. (It’s my guess that the company you use to process customers’ credit card orders will be the company responsible for handling complaince issues, but that is just a guess so your mileage may vary.) Good luck!
