Business Insights: Essentials

Find information on thousands of public and private companies gathered from many business research sources. Records often include contact information, stock price, financials, market share, rankings, competitors, company history, and more. You will need to use a valid CCPL Library Card to access this resource.


Business Source Premiere

Includes hundreds of Datamonitor company profiles and SWOT analyses. To find a company profile, look for the Company Profiles link in the blue bar at the top of the screen. To find SWOT analyses, type the company’s name in the Basic Search box, then click “Search.” Look on the left side of the search results screen under Source Types and click SWOT Analyses. You will need to use a valid CCPL Library Card to access this resource.


Morningstar Investment Research Center

Search for public companies by name, ticker symbol, or use the screener to build a search. Extensive company records contain contact information, historic stock prices, company histories, detailed financials, ratios, competitor listings, analyst reports, EDGAR filings, and more. You will need to use a valid CCPL Library Card to access this resource.


ReferenceUSA

This database is our library’s most extensive company research tool. Search the U.S. Businesses or the U.S. New Businesses database to determine where your competitors are located. Use Quick Search to find competitors by name or use Custom Search to find them by industry or geography. The entry for each business may include owner names, number of employees, estimated business expenditures, and other hard-to-find details. The New Businesses, Historical Businesses, and Healthcare databases can also help with many specialized searches. You can download your search results and import them into a spreadsheet for further analysis. Regional Business News

Use this database to search regional business periodicals from across the U.S. The bimonthly magazine South Carolina Business is the only current S.C. publication in this database. You will need to use a valid CCPL Library Card to access this resource.
